Gwen Stefani Creates Punk-Themed Nails for OPI

Starting in January, you can "Lay Down That Base" with Gwen Stefani — not in the recording studio, but at the nail salon. OPI announced that their newest collaboration will be with the expectant mother, in a collection inspired by the Met Ball's theme of “Punk: Chaos to Couture.” The standout shade will be a red inspired by Stefani's signature red lip, named "Over & Over A-Gwen," which will be available in a boxed set with other nail-art elements like Swarovski black crystals, studs, and other appliqués ("Why no spiderwebs?" asks the Cut's Diana Tsui). The aforementioned Lay Down That Base, when applied as a base coat to the collection's other polishes, transforms to impart an extra-shiny, chromelike finish.

But we know that half the fun of OPI colors are the pun-tastic names. Other shade names in the collection are Hey Baby, I Sing in Color, and In True Stefani Fashion.
