MARS is a really cool design studio in Stockholm and Sweeden dreamed by young Korean designer Mars Hwasung Yoo. He likes to take an artistic approach to re-innovate the common, existing technology of mass-production with a poetic twist. I particularly fell in love with his frosted hat lamp, it's stylish and modern. 


By the way i added the logo of MARS on the top of the page, because i love the design and the simplicity that it has. Great logo!

Item of the Week: Nautical Dress

Once a week i will be posting an "item of the week", a product or a fashion piece worth looking at and buying. 

This week's pick is a Cap Sleeve Column Dress, in a blue motif by Antrhopologie. This nautical dress is a summer classic, you can't go wrong with this dress. I really like that the lines are all not horizontal, but diagonal as well, giving this simple dress a modern twist. 

Love the styling on this dress, layered with different neon necklaces and bright pink sunnies. Love it!

Movie: The Great Gatsby!

Check out the official trailer of a must see movie this year, The Great Gatsby! Director Baz Luhrmann added a lot of glamour and glitz to the trailer. The movie is supposed to be the "most stylish movie ever", depicting 1920's fashion.

Cap-toe shoes are a huge trend these days. It's a very lady like shoe, that's why A-list celebrities and fashionistas are wearing it, at the red carpet, private events, even to walk the streets. Every brand is making their own version of the cap shoe, some use bright contrasting colors, others just keep a classic look, black and white, there is a pair for everyone. JCrew + The Man Who Dressed America

To all JCrew fans, you can't miss this special segment by CNBC, which will premier Thursday, May 24 at 10PM!

This documentary will show you the inner-workings of JCrew, from the fabric sourcing with Dexler in Italy, to styling the catalog with Jenna Lyons and maximizing JCrew stores' selling power. The doc also includes interviews with Libby Wadle and Anna Wintour who says of the brand: "It just didn't really enter the conversation until Mickey was there".

CEO Mickey Dexler, is the man, the "king of retail", he has made JCrew into what it is today, a must-wear brand. To learn more about him watch the segment: "JCrew and the man who dressed America"

MAC: Permanent Nail Color Collection

Mac cosmetics is a great brand, they always come up with great new products in their themed collections and creative collaborations. These products are available for a certain period of time, and then we never get to see them again. Today MAC counts with eight different nail colors in their permanent collection, the rest you can only buy them when they become available. Don't you just hate that? Well great news, this summer MAC is announcing a huge change. 


If you ever bought a great nail color at MAC and you couldn't find it again because it was from a special collection, you will be able  to buy it again starting this Summer '12, MAC will be launching a permanent collection of 30 colors, some new, and some of your old favorites.

ArteBA Cont.

Here are some pictures from ArtBA, Saturday May 19. The art exhibition was wonderful, I had a blast. I love attending to these events because you get a lot of ideas and inspiration from really talented artists from around the world. Besides good art there was good food and drinks. Bodegas Chandon, created a space with huge puffs and coffee tables to sit down and relax, while sipping their 187 champagne bottle and one of their delicious sandwiches made specially for the event. It was great!
