Fashion Vegetable Garden

Earlier this year high fashion brands styled their runways with fruits and vegetables to remind ourselves that "green" in now rooted in fashion's soil and soul. The association of fashion and vegetable was a surreal association, but fun. Healthy living designers like Dolce & Gabbanna, Ferragamo and Trusardi created a runway of vegetable and fruit prints, to remind ourselves that we are what we eat, but are we also what we wear?

The Green message is quickly becoming popular in the fashion industry, we are happy to hear that designers are wanting to transmit the "green" message throughout their designs and at same time promoting a healthy living.

DIY: Shelve Project

We found this great DIY project on how to make a shelf with fruit boxes. If you are looking for a practical and original way to store things at home this is the way to do it. Just follow the steps below.

To do this project you will need to look for fruit boxes with a good size. You can get them at any supermarket at the end of the day when they throw them away. The number of boxes will depend on how many modules you want to make.

Once you have the boxes you can start sanding the borders and any imperfections. You don't have to worry if they look a little rustic, thats one of the projects charm. If you want a more professional finish you can apply a layer of varnish so that all the boxes have the same tone. Once they are dry you can start your distribution through the wall.

Beauty: Moroccan Oil

We have the best selection of Moroccanoil products, a hair product that revolutionized the haircare industry. These hair products are guaranteed to make your hair feel and look healthier after just one application. All Moroccanoil products are made with their secret ingredient "Argan" what makes your hair to rejuvenate.

Wondering what's Moroccanoil's secret ingredient? and where it comes from? For hundreds of years Argan oil has been used by women in Morocco to treat their hair and nails in order to counteract the effect of the hot climate. The Argan tree, found only in South West of Morocco called Argana, blossoms in the the desert-like conditions and produces fruits much like olives yet larger and rounder. Inside the fruit grows a large nut up to three almond shape kernels which are the source to this miraculous oil(Argan).

Here are three great products to try:

Tucker ❤ Clothing

Tucker was created by Gaby Basora back in 2005, her first creation was the classic Tucker blouse, a beautiful flowing silk blouse gently gathered in the neckline and cuffs with smocked elastic. Tucker has an impeccable fit and quality, every pieces tells a story and depending on the print a fun and distinctive name is given, making each piece very unique.

Tuckers pieces are characterized by an exciting array of contradictions, the silks are luxurious but not precious, the pieces are agile yet bold, the look is never contrived but always carefully considered.

Tucker is proudly made in New York City in the same factory that sewed their first piece. We love Tucker for it's bold, unique prints in luxurious silks.

Givenchy's Rave Party

Givenchy's Fall/Winter 2012 ad campaign is fun, energetic and will make you dance. Creative director Ricardo Ticci asked models Joan Smalls, Stef Van de Laan, Daliela Braga, Simone Nobili, Jarrod Scoot and Rodrigo Braga to bring their best dance moves while listening to electro music. The shoot background is dark and stormy capturing the euphoric energy of a rave says Ticci.

The campaign was shot by famous photographers Mart and Marcus famous in the fashion world for their beautiful portraits of powerful women, styled by Carine Roitfeld. The ads will fill the pages of magazines in September.

“It is about happiness and the freedom of expressing yourself with your body. It shows a dynamic, happy, and fun world, which is what fashion needs.”
- Ricardo Ticci

Movie: To Rome With Love

A great movie to watch this summer is "To Rome With Love" written and directed by Woody Allen
TO ROME WITH LOVE is a kaleidoscopic comedy movie set in one of the world's most enchanting cities. The film brings us into contact with a well-known American architect reliving his youth; an average middle-class Roman who suddenly finds himself Rome's biggest celebrity; a young provincial couple drawn into separate romantic encounters; and an American opera director endeavoring to put a singing mortician on stage.
While Rome is a city abundant with romance and comedy, Woody Allen's TO ROME WITH LOVE is about people having adventures that will change their lives forever.
