Balenciaga: Florabotanica

Balenciaga is releasing a new fragrance "Florabotanica" this September. Actress Kristen Stewart is the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance. The fragrance is Nicolas Ghesquiere's second for the label. Balenciaga told him to pick out a face with a "young consumer" in mind, because that's the target demo for the fragrance. He based the scent on a 2008 collection that features "nasty" and "nice" flowers. The key notes of the scent are vetiver, amber and calcium-lead accord, a hybrid rose, carnation and mint accord. 


We fell in love with the bottle design, inspired by a laboratory bottle in which striped tubes can be dipped to cull the botanical gardens extract.
