Songkick want's to take all the hassle of finding our when you favorite band are coming to your city: gone are the days to subscribing to a million different venue mailing lists, checking different band websites, and shifting through generic concert newsletter.
Songkick works by indexing many different ticket vendors, venue websites, and local newspapers to create the most comprehensive database of upcoming concerts happening around the world. Their mission is to have every show happening anywhere, from your friends show at you local bar, right up to Lady Gaga tour dates in Tokyo.
You can track all the artists you want to see live, and songkick sends you a personalized concert alert when they announce a tour date in the your city. If you're lazy and have tons of bands you want to see live, you can track artists in bulk with their iTunes application, Last.fm imports, or by importing your Facebook likes.
Songkick was founded in 2007 by Ian Hogarth, Pete Smith and Michelle You: three friends who thought it was way too hard to find out when their favorite bands were coming to town.
