The Metropolitan Museum of Art is running an exhibition on Andy Warhol, Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years from now until December 31st. You guys can't miss it, the exhibition is structured in five thematic sections: "Daily News: From Banality to Disaster", "Portraiture: Celebrity and Power", "Queen Studies: Shifting Identities", "Consuming Images: Appropriation, Abstraction, and Seriality" and "No Boundaries: Business, Collaboration, and Spectacle".
It's all about Andy Warhol this year, Nars cosmetics even released a Andy Warhol makeup collaboration, which coincides with his Met exhibit. The line is going to be offered as two separate collections, one a Sephora exclusive, influenced by Pop Art and the other department collection which has a more downtown, Factory vibe. The packaging will feature Warhol's famous quotes and his favorite muses: Edie Sedgwick, Candy Darling and Debbie Harry.
The line will be composed of eye palettes, lip glosses, nail polish sets, and cosmetic bags. All in beautiful bright colors like his art.
The collection will become available:
Sephora October 1 and department stores November 1
