La Mer Collections started in 2001 when Martine was looking through her jewelry drawer and could not find a simple, stylish and feminine watch to wear. By combining her passion for design, love of quality materials and simple beauty, La Mer Collections was born. All the collections are inspired from Martine's journeys: Bali, Italy, and Thailand. For her recent collection "Cape Town 2012", she travelled to South Africa's colorful markets. There's no doubt that every color palette is chosen from bright and colorful experiences.
